Each year, Oxfordshire select 8 athletes from each group to make up a team of 46 to compete at the English Schools Cross-Country Championships. Qualification is earnt through the Oxfordshire Schools XC Championships, where the top 6 finishers are guaranteed selection. Positions 7 and 8 on the team are decided upon a discretionary basis.

English Schools XC proves to be one of the most prestigious and competitive races of the year. The likes of Mo Farah and Paula Radcliffe have won previous editions.
The first 8 finishers in both the Junior and Intermediate races will be selected to represent England Schools at the SIAB (British Schools) International. Oxfordshire were proudly represented by Isla McGowan in both the 2022 and 2023 SIAB International.
