Congratulations to Emma Gould on becoming a Level 1 Field Judge.
Congratulations also to Andrew Clough on adding Photofinish Level 1 to his
impressive range of qualifications.
OAA County Championships: can any athlete who has not yet claimed their medal from the County Championships, please liaise with their team manager - who should then forward the list to me ASAP.
Thank you John Sear Chairman, OAA and Coordinator, Championships
As indicated at the recent championships, there are plans for the 3000m championships to be held at the Marlow Open Meeting on Sunday 16th June. I have previously asked for interested athletes to let me know that they wish to compete; so far, few have done so.
Unless there are more expressions of interest (to be followed up by entries on the day, entry fee £5), these championships will NOT take place. The timing of the races will be at around lunchtime.

This year's Oxfordshire Schools' AA Championships will be happening at Horspath, Oxford on Sunday 9th June. A timetable for the day is attached. Athletes will need to be at their events 10 mins before the start time. There are events for pupils in all secondary school year groups (years 7-13). The 2019 standards can be found here.
Good weather – especially on the second day, meant an outstanding opportunity for some excellent early season marks at Horspath Road.
In the Senior Women’s Discus, Kathryn Woodcock was close to her 50 metre-plus pb when throwing a Championship Best Performance of 48.53m – exceeding the old mark by some 4 metres.
One of the older records fell in the U17 Women’s Pole Vault, when Reading’s Emily Scrivener cleared 3.10m, erasing Caroline Smith’s 1999 record.
