OAN Timekeeping and Track Judging Evening

The Oxon Athletics Network are organising a networking evening for officials on timekeeping and track judging held on 22nd April at Horspath.

If you are interested, please book through Doug Scott (see attachment). This should be a really good opportunity to network, be updated on the new rules as they relate to you, and get information about your discipline that will help your development as an official.

UKCAU Senior Fell Champs

The Inter Counties Senior Fell Champs will be the Ras Moel Eilio on the 14th May 2016 (12.8K 915m climb) starting and finishing in Llanberis. Competitors for the Inter Counties must be selected by the County, and the names of County athletes should be sent to the FRA event co-ordinator.

University of Oxford - Long Sprints Coach

Oxford has a strong tradition in the 400m, with the men achieving BUCS 4×400 silver and bronze in 2014 and 2013 respectively. Our biggest fixture each year is the Varsity Match against Cambridge. With over 150 years of history between the two athletics clubs, the Varsity match is a spectacle like no other.

Sessions are run on a Tuesday and Thursday evening, and Sunday morning. Ideally, a successful candidate should be able to make it to our training sessions twice per week.

Renumbering of Officials Levels

On 1st April 2016 the official’s pathway will be updated. There will be no change to the course content or progression, apart from the change of the numbers within the pathway. Officials do not need to do anything; the change will happen automatically and you will be sent a new licence showing your qualifications by post.

IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION – Change of Date for the Oxon AA AGM

Update (05/11/15): The new date for the Oxfordshire AA AGM is Friday 4th December 2015 at 7.30pm at Exeter Hall, Kidlington. After the AGM there will be a short Committee meeting.

Please note that due to unforeseen circumstances the Oxfordshire AA AGM has had to be postponed.
It was due to be held this Friday 6th November, the new date will be published here as soon as it has been agreed with the other Officers of the Oxon AA Committee.
