The Oxfordshire AA Annual General Meeting is being held on Friday 2nd November 2018 at 7.30pm at Exeter Hall, Kidlington.
There are always important matters discussed and it is vital that a representative from each Oxfordshire club attends. So PLEASE ask your committee and members for someone can come along.
Oxfordshire AA is invited to submit teams in age groups U11 to U20 men and women, as well as Senior Women. As there are few events before the closing date for entries, the teams will be chosen based on results in the following fixtures: Chiltern League at Horspath on 13 October; SEAA relays at Wormwood Scrubs on 20 th October; ECCA Relays at Mansfield on November 3; OxMail fixture at Newbury on November 4; and Chiltern League at Milton Keynes on 10 th November. Anyone wishing to be considered should let the County Chairman know by Friday 9 November at the latest.
Congratulations to Sam Jonkers who has recently gained a Level 1 (Field Judge) qualification; to Richard Hart, upgraded to Level 2 Photofinish; and [putting all modesty aside] to Alan Vincent, now a Level 1 Race Walk Judge.
Oxfordshire took a team of 32 athletes to the English Schools' Athletics Championships at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham on the 13th and 14th July 2018 to face the best athletes in the country.
Oxfordshires only medal came from Ella Turner in the Senior Girls 400m with a time of 54.74s winning the bronze. Trevorae Lumsden (JB) and Emily Thompson (SG) came within a whisker of being in a medal position.
