The Championships this year will again be held at Horspath. To aid the smooth running of the programme, we are asking each of the T & F clubs in Oxon to nominate ONE helper for each of the four half days of the championships. This is in addition to the qualified officials they provide. We need this extra help as the two counties do not have enough officials to maintain all the events. We are agreed that these helpers will never be asked to run any event without the support of more senior officials.

Congratulations to Rebecca Scott, who has recently gained a Level 2 (Field Judge) qualification.

Inadvertently, there is a misconception in the notes for the T&F championships, relating to the U13 athletes. For Track and Field athletics, they must have reached their 11th birthday by August 31st in the competition year, and so can compete whilst aged 10. It is only in Cross Country and Road Races (including the County Road Relays) that these athletes can only compete as U13 from the day of their 11th birthday.

Entries are now open for the County Championships. ALL entries this year are to be made ONLINE (here) with entries fees payable through Stripe. This is the same system as last year.

Can I take this opportunity to remind all clubs and athletes that, in accord with the change introduced by UK-A, there is need for a parent or guardian's signature for ALL athletes aged under 18 in all events. This may represent difficulties for students studying away from their home; and as such, all athletes should allow themselves enough time to complete the necessary documentation in advance of event closing dates.
