Submitted by Joe on

The County is hosting the U15/U20 Southern Inter-Counties fixture on Sunday 21 August. To the present, there have been no offers of help with the team managing. If the county is to send teams to this (home) meeting, please can some of you offer to help! I cannot guarantee to be able to undertake this task on this occasion. Please don't let the athletes down!

British Outdoor Championships

Submitted by Joe on

It was good to see so many Oxfordshire athletes competing in the British Outdoor Championships and Olympic Trials at Birmingham. Pride of place went to Nathan Douglas, still an OCAC athlete, for his popular victory in the Men’s Triple Jump. Nathan’s winning leap of 16.58 signalled a return to form and may have revived his hopes of making this year’s Olympic Games. One athlete who is Rio-bound is Lawrence Clarke (WSEH), an Oxfordshire champion in 2012, after taking silver in the 110H with a time of 13.44.
